Varaison Vineyards & Winery

Where your experience extends beyond the lip of the glass.

Instead of normal tastings, Varaison does free blind tastings of 4 wines. You cannot choose what you taste. If you want to taste more, you can taste 5 more for $5. Wine drinking tip: pour white wine down the center of your tongue and red wine down the side of your tongue. White “legs” dripping down the glass mean 6% or more alcohol and is “safe” to drink (aka has killed the bad stuff in the water, during older times).

If you’re new to wine tastings, I would advise tasting at a 3-5 other wineries first to get a feel for the different grape varieties. Then come here for a little education and see how well you do in the blind tasting guessing game 🙂
